These pictures are a little out of order.. I have pulled in pictures taken from Tessa, Ashlynn, and those taken from my camera on this trip. There were over a hundred pics taken between us. We had a great time in the short amount of time we were gone. JD, Ashlynn, Dillon, Tessa, and Blake left Friday morning to drive to Preston. They hiked from the Willow Creek Campground over into Bloomington Lake taking them 3.5 hours to hike in on the 3rd and 2.2 hours to hike out July 4th. Terri, Jordin, Lucy and myself arrived about 5:00 p.m. with the gear having driven to Bloomington Lake. Here is a picture of Terri babysitting Lucy putting her to sleep (and with me) while the kids walked to the Lake Saturday morning.
While the clouds were out so were the mosquitos... Here are JD and Ashlynn allowing them to have a feeding frenzy. Once the sun came out it wasn't too bad. Thankfully we had the bug spray with us!
Here we are trying to find Waldo. No, it's Tessa, her face is sticking out at the bottom left side of the Tent. The hikers had to wait a couple of hours at the Lake area for the gear to get here. It took an hour to have camp set up and preparing food..
Getting dinner put on to cook. It was pizza sub night! They were good!
Here is the Birthday girl and the crip. We celebrated Jordin's B-day shortly after dinner and there were presents!!
Here is Blake, the only brave soul to jump off the rope swing. I understand he had to do it twice to get the picture. Good job son!
Here is the lake side group pic. It was amazing we had so much fun in such a shoft time!

All of the couples had their pics taken on this rock. Terri and I had one like this to match from about 10 or so years ago.
Hikers... Keep up the pace Blake!
This does not capture the Thunder, Lightning, Hail, and Rain storm we experienced. The thunder and lightening shook the earth so that you thought that the end might be near. It was awe inspiring. We got a little wet but survived the storm.
This is JD and Dillon operating on Blake (pulling out thistle needles after he slid down the snow hill in the following pictures. I guess he slipped off the edge and fell 25 ft. vertically and landed in a thorn bush.

The hiking group. Yea! All survived and we returned home to a bad storm that flooded the area around our homes. We still celebrated the 4th with pizza and fire works from the Fair Grounds. Crops were lost, basements and areas flooded. I am entering this Sunday the 5th. Church is going to be kept short today to 1 hour to help those in need since there was so much flooding and hail damage. A 4th of July to remember all around!!

That was a BLAST! It would have been even better if we had the whoel fam there.
It was a great weekend. I must correct you though, it was only 2 hours and 10 minutes to hike out, not 2 1/2 hours! :)
