We still feel that Birch Creek and R CG is the best place to go. We drove around and visited all of the Eastern camp grounds and this by far with the boat ramp and beach access is the best.
The Lake was pretty much ours. This was the only boat in view on Tuesday.
The water was 69 degrees. It was chilly until about 1 p.m. Weather was 84 degrees but by Friday we were in the high 90's at City of Rocks and Walcott Lake.
