Vacation at the Blackfoot River, Cutthroat Trout Campground

We had our first real vacation that actually lasted for 4 days.  We went to the Blackfoot River to the Cutthroat Trout Campground.  Tessa, Lucy and Sam went with us.  They stayed for a few days then Tessa and Sam left, Lucy wanted to stay, then Ty and Alyona came up Saturday night.  Blake joined us that night also having just returned from High Adventure to the White Clouds.

Samuel was a hoot.  He is trying to walk.

We enjoyed partly cloudy weather about 96 degree days.  There was not enough shade, I wish we would have brought a canopy.

We enjoyed the water.

This is how we spent most of the time.  I did have a 100 foot rope that I held on to that let the kids float down then I would pull them back up.  After the second day my arms would not work.  They felt like jello.

Sam loved the camping, it was difficult where he could not walk it was pretty dirty for him to crawl.

Jordin screamed a lot.  At one point I held her head under water, the kept her quite for about 2 minutes.

We went after a load of wood.  We burned about 20 sticks.

This was the typical evening about 8 p.m.  It was still very hot out.

Jordin was always using Lucy as an excuse to get on the 4 wheeler.

No we did not left her give Sam rides.  That was a chore for G-pa.

Saturday night after Ty and Alyona set up camp they went for a tube ride... The only  problem was it was about 8:30 p.m. when they arrived back to camp and it was chilly by then.

Alyona was very cold so she got out of her tube and rode in with Ty.

Ty suffered a few equipment malfunctions, back doors broke open, his side door fell off to list a few.  He enjoyed fixing things back up and had the door back on  better then before in no time.

I took a shower at the picnic table every afternoon.  The water was nice and warm. Jordin and Lucy joined me.

Sunday night Lucy was beat.  Soon after this pic she went in and had a bath.  Her spirits were lifted and it was a much better night.
