This morning we cleaned the church, moved the trailers around, washed the 4 wheelers, and cleaned things up a bit around the shop.We decided to go to the range this afternoon and see if our guns needed any sighting in. And,,,, they didn't. Hunting season starts in two weeks and I wanted Blake to get some practice in before then.
Here is pic of the group of us... Blake, Ty, Alyona and myself, went up to the OT shooting range which is still the best place to go anywhere around. We paid to get in today but, I am buying my membership starting next year. We had tons of fun.

Ty welded up these nice dish targets this morning and they worked out really fine. Note his two slug rounds that were shot at 50 yards. They made an impressive hole.

Blake shot both .30.30's, one was a newer version of the other but shot better with the older one But he shot best with the 30.06.

Target is set at 110 yards, the 3 holes that I am pointing at was shot with the old 30.06 that I bought when I was 18 yrs old. It still shoots well.
Shooting the 300 Win. Mag. It is still a tack driver. After a few warm up rounds every quarter sized target was hit at the 110 yards. The two black dots right and left of the above pic is what I was able to hit at that range. Of coarse the battery died on the camera and this was the last pic. It was a very fun afternoon. Everyone shot well. Ty has not lost his touch, I believe he was the over all best marksman for the day. The range was quite full all afternoon we lucked out and drove right up as this bay emptied.
