Saturday Nov 27 Getting Christmas Trees
Note to self - this was one great fun weekend!!! We left home at 9:30 a.m. back home at 2:30 p.m. The snow was about a foot deep. We had a lot of fun. It took us about an hour to drive to Knox canyon were we went on a family outing. Pictured here is, me, Blake, Lucy, Jordin, Mom,Nicole, Sister inlaw Sarah and Brother Terry, Jordin, Nicole, Tessa, Dillon. Jason and Ethan Dye left earlier, Ethan started getting sick as his siblings did earlier in the morning and were not able to come.
On the road a few self pics of those in the sub.
Starting up the wrong gully, there were no trees there.
Ethan ready to go the first time.
We just saw a mini van and a car pass us. Later they were stuck and we had to help them get out.
No luck on to the next canyon...
I ended up pulling Luc up and down the road while everyone climbed up the mountain to get their trees. Jordin stayed with me to help out.
Tessa, ready to head up.
They met with success.
Good lookin tree and kids.
Here come the girls with their trees.
Here come the boys with theirs.
Wait and see the monster mom got!!!!
Tessa and Dillon supplied the Hot Chocm donuts and juice. It was good to have.
Jordin and Nichole.
Sarah and Terry.
Yep your ma and her tree.
Lucy enjoyed the trip as we all did.
Mom and Tessa went after Jason and Hailey's tree.
A close up of our group. If you want to see a bigger pic double click on the picture.
Me and mahonna.
As the day wore on the snow became softer and we had to stay on the road until we could find a place to turn around. We found places where a fwe folks either spent the night or had to wait for help to be pulled out. Note the heads hanging out on the passenger side. Giving directions so that they don't get off of the beaten path.
Dillon and a few self taken pics.
Just what is he teaching my granddaughter?? It was one heck of a lot of fun!! Well it's time to take a snooze before heading off to the Stake Dance with ma.

I need to clarify that the second picture, the self portrait, was while driving on horrible roads at 55 mph. Just in case my other siblings were sad they weren't there, I thought I would make them feel better. :) It was a successful trip in the end but I kept waiting for disaster. :)
That new sub handles well! It beat driving a pick-up. I had good weight in the back seats.. No offense meant.
